It is fairly well known that many disease and negative effects of cigarette smoking are caused by smoking too often. Current studies show that people who smoke are more susceptible to lung cancer. A few of the health issues and side effects of smoking that are caused by smoking are lung cancer, throat cancer, redness of eyes, emphysema, smoker’s cough, amongst many others.

People may understand that health effects of smoking can cause lung cancer but are not aware that many other disease are associated with smoking. Other ailments that can be caused by smoking are: esophageal cancer, kidney cancer, pancreatic cancer, bladder cancer and cervix cancer.

If a woman smokes while she is expecting, she greatly risks the babies well-being in her womb because of the negative effects of cigarette smoking. 

These days, many people are victims of second hand smoking. Believe it or not but even though nicotine is not poisonous, the tar in the smoke is more deadly than nicotine. Adults as well as children can develop diseases because of second hand smoke. This is also often cited as one of the worst effects of cigarette smoking.
